Calgary Downtown Core

Calgary, Alberta

Looking west toward downtown from Tom Campbell's Hill.
Two of Calgary's iconic buildings, the Calgary Tower on the left and The Bow on the right. The Bow is the tallest building in Canada west of Toronto.

There has been a lot of growth and even though Alberta is in a major recession there is still lots of building going on downtown especially in the "East Village". The new high-rise in this shot I believe is the new "Telus Sky" http://telussky.com/gallery/ Steve

Spring is always good! Looks like ther is a new high rise building going up in downtown. Do you know what it is going to be? Paul

Nice shot. A lot of growth since we were there (can it be that long?) in 2005. Hopefully no more floods. Dave

It's been almost a winter that never was here in Calgary. We have had almost no snow on the ground since January. Plus long spells with above normal temps. Trees are leafing out I would guess at least a month earlier than normal. Steve

Re spring - the snow has all disappeared.
But perhaps that means that "spring is just around the corner".

I like the crisp and clean look of the city. I bet everybody is glad that spring has arrived.
