We have more than our share of great blue herons in Kansas and they are huge. Most people don't realize how big they are until you stumble upon one and it takes flight right in front of you. Head to claws about 5 feet with a wing span over 6 feet. I read somewhere once they are the 2nd larges north american bird. If I remember right 2nd only to the condor. Paul

I like this a lot, quite different to see a sunset pano. Lots of detail, even got a heron on the right-hand side of the image. Steve

PS is a wonderful program for magic; mix in a little Topaz, and Voila.
I like the newest version of Lightroom, as it does some wonderful panos and has a new warping feature to fix the boundaries that you missed when shooting the individual sections to be stitched.

I have to confess that all I did was shoot about 10 shots on 12-15 degree angles, picked the 5 middle ones I liked most, dump in PSE and say " PS do your thing". After words I added a touch of Topaz Adjust which gave it a slight HDR feel and upload.

There was a guy there shooting the sunset with his cellphone and he was asking me my setting after, he saw the preview shots on the camera screen. Paul.

I agree with Jim. It is a nice image. I've never tried stitching a sunset. Seems like it might have additional challenges as compared to a regular daylight scene ... Regardless, you pulled it off very well! - Ken

Very nice image. Beautiful glowing color.
I like the inclusion of the dock in the foreground.
