Pressure Relief

I'm told by people that know what they are talking about that these are relief valves used in the old days to discharge excess water from the lake to the creek below. I went looking for the discharge tubes once a few years back but never found them. I've applied a slight artistic touch to the photo to cover up some uglies. Paul

There is ice some in the foreground, broken and very thin but it's there. None in the background. We are in a transitional period where it may be single digit temps for a few days then like today we made it to mid 50's today and Thursday is predicted to make mid 70's. Paul.

Excellent job. Is that still ice on the lake? It has its own artistic effect.

Thanks for your kind words Mr. T. The uglies I was referring to was the sky was flat, dull, cloudless and overexposed to get the valves to silhoutte so I replaced the sky with another sky with clouds. BUT, my efforts of masking out the treeline were rough at best and pure crap at worst so I applied a modified Chiaroscuro Topaz Impressionist filter to it. Paul

Very interesting, and I like the artistic treatment...intriguing. Best Wishes, Traveller
