Most of the snow in Minneapolis doesn't come until January and later.
Same for the cold. However, it was quite cold that night, with a breeze as I recall.
This was the last of the annual Holidazzle parades. You can tell from the dress of the parade watchers that it isn't southern AZ or FL

No way that can be Minneapolis MN in late December, where is the snow and the -20 F? Paul

Thanks guys. As I recall, I shot a couple of quick shots at different exposures as the float came down the street. The exposures also varied a bit as to where I focussed.

This one seemed to be the best and easiest to work from. I didn't do anything to the people in back, all lit by incandescent light. I liked the warm glow they had on them.

Excellent shot, Jim. And, as Traveller noted, exposure must have been very tricky. - Ken

The mixed lighting here had to be very difficult..but a clean distinct shot with a good happy feel to it. It made me smile big, and that is always a good thing. Traveller
