Paul,
Thanks. Re time - yes it was 7:24 am local time, with the sunrise at about 7:09 that day. The park, which is on Navajo Land, is on Mtn daylight time as opposed to the rest of AZ.
Re altitude - we drove in from MN via Denver & the Rockies, so we were probably quite high. One iphone shot I took put us over 9,000 ft. I used the iphone for my GPS markers.
To get back to our house, I drove on I-40 via Flagstaff, so we were temporarily at 7,000 ft. But she would not have to get out of the car if she started from the AZ side so it might not be so bad. An airplane is typically around 8,000 ft. Or, fly into Tucson, she can stay with her friend, and I'll drive up with you for a couple of days.

Thanks for the nice comments.
Traveller - I am slowly working my way through a lot of images that I was able to take on my travel from MN to AZ. I still have those at Canyon De Chelly to sort through. As I go through them, I find a few good ones. Hopefully more to come.

Wonderful....I prefer this to your other two entries...especially with regard to the courthouse image, that, imo, needed some foreground, not much, just some to anchor the front of the image.

But this is very a superior image...I have no critique at all. Traveller
