I don't think it should bother anybody....I do love the colors and though the actual facts maybe different, there is a subtext that is quite distinct and speaks to our times.

I think it was your art to take x and transform it into y.

This may in fact be a "great," picture....lol

Tthere isn't any issue with posting this image as far as legality goes. This gal was a pointer, I have several of her just before this shot pointing in various other directions. Even though it looks like she's pointing me out in reality she's not I was just lucky enough to capture a moment that looked like she was. In pending I've posted another where it show what she's doing, she's handing out a certificate to my daughter.

If the though of this being here bothers even one member of our group speak now and I'll remove it otherwise I'll leave it just because of her eyes, mouth position but mostly the pointing. Paul

It is a public area, I think you can shoot it, (however, contra, specific rules against....in all of England you may not photograph children without permission....hummm); Kudos to Jim for....being more trustworthy in appearance...lol

As to this photograph itself and photography in general....I am feeling a little aboriginal, this is stealing a bit of the person, and I do not mean this as a criticism, but rather that Sparky caught an essential truth that we frequently overlook or ignore...he really has this young woman, at a moment of her life, caught and preserved like an insect on a preserving stick pin.

I am not saying this is a great picture....but it is a true picture and deserves a little extra praise for this....essentiality frozen in time.

Best Wishes, Traveller

I had a similar opportunity for my granddaughter at a swim meet. However, the coaches asked me to take photos for their web site.

This was the final day for swimming lessons for my granddaughter and these were her swim instructors. There were plenty of cameras firing away but they all were camera phones. Guess they never saw a DSLR with a 70-200 lens attached before, so I assume that makes me a pervert. Paul.

Nice and crisp, and colorful; I like it.
And "that" look, and the twist of the mouth, and the pointed finger - yes, there is emotion there.
It just may not all be fit for print in a polite society such as ours. ;-)

Possibly, Paul, she was, ideed, trying to do so. But to be sure about that, ask her friend: she'll know! ;-)) db.
