Temporary

I was shooting a few test shots for the challenge (I like to be different you know) and this little flying distraction showed up for a visit.

A temporary entry since it really doesn't show much convergence. Once Mr. Stink bug showed up I quickly changed how I was shooting the scene and focused on him before he took flight again.

Anyway get a laugh out of this for a few days until I figure out something else to do.

I remember you saying that about travelers post. It was odd, just like your situation I copied my comment so I could edit it and hit the delete button but it didn't show it as being deleted so I hit the delete button again and that's no doubt when it took out yours too. Never had that happen before. Paul.

Re delete - I did the same to Traveller not long ago. I tried to edit one of my comments, which involves a copy, paste, edit , and delete the old one. Bad alignment of the delete mouse for me.

Re "temporary" - I recall that I said that this name fits the placement of the bug on the book, as well as its existence.

I accidently deleted you comments Jim, my apologizes. Your point about the name makes sense and I never really considered that line of thinking.

In reality I never intended for the entry to last this long, I figured I would have deleted it by now but since there were not many entries I've left it. The title was a pun meaning it wasn't staying in the challenge very long. At one point I was going to change the name to "24 Hours". I'm still debating if it will stay or not. I like my twin steeple church photo much better for this challenge. I also shot a twin power pole that really shows the effect I may put in the challenge. Paul

How fascinating! Really. I had no idea that this was possible, but now that I think about it, yes, sure....very interesting. Thanks, Traveller

We have a small beverage frig in the basement, if you put insects in the fridge for 30 minutes or so you slow them down so they can be photographed. Some of them fold up and are not as photogenic until they start to warm up. That gives you about a 2 minute window to shoot them. Still trying to see if I can come up with a plan to use him in a similar style of shot. Paul

He's a stink bug! Be Careful....actually I am becoming obsessive on letting everything live....spiders and moths; crickets I actually walk to the door to deposit outside.

Misquotes, those damned things that gave me malaria, and flies...of course, get no mercy.

But the little green fellow, let him go if you can.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Thanks for your comments Mr. T, the funny story behind this is I had captured him a few days before and had him in a small container in the basement, where I do my studio style photography and had taken a few macro shots of him. The cat must have knocked the container to the floor and he escaped unbeknownst to me and the lights might have attracted him to where I was shooting for this challenge. Anyway hes back in the small container until I shoot a few more of him....... Maybe I'll find a way to incorporate him into a shot for this challenge instead of an accidental visitor. Paul

I am quite fond of this fellow...as well as the idea and color palate = Very well done. Traveller
