I went with our local photo club to Gates pass to practice our "after dark" photo shooting.
I lit the cactus with a bright flashlight for about 5 sec of the 20 sec exposure.
Thanks guys. The hard part was guessing how long to keep the light on. I shot a few shots, but probably not enough. Though if you think it is too bright, it is easy to reduce the brightness with the brush in LR.
As I hum to myself the song "O beautiful for spacious skies, For amber waves of grain, For purple mountain majesties Above the fruited plain! America! America! God shed his grace on thee And crown thy good with brotherhood From sea to shining sea"!
The cactus might still be a touch to hot for my taste but it's still a great shot and one very similar to what I have in my mind of trying to capture. Paul
