I agree about the 5D noise control. In realty you didn't have many other options other than using a tripod since your lens was wide open and the IS on that lens is very marginal. When I had that lens I classified the IS as virtually worthless. Paul

No noise reduction. I didn't mean to use ISO 1000, but I forgot to check the setting and I also think the 5D Mark 3 does quite well at that level.

AT 1000 ISO did you use any noise reduction? Paul
