this year in its 25th edition, features year after year:
1) twenty to thirty exhibitions by renowned photojournalists
2) six different nightly photodocumentary projections
on a huge screen in an open-air theatre with 2400 seats

Daniel, this is also very socially meaningful work. I failed to note earlier the idea of the old tired woman looking out at the gallery as we look at her also, and, the man just walks past. Traveller

Thanks a lot, Traveller, for that wonderful compliment! ~ db.

Excellent, Daniel, I've been taking my time on this trying to figure out what to say...but Excellent works just fine. Best Wishes, Traveller

There is a saying for that: "Good news is no news"! So the fact that the image (not mine, mind you, but the one by McCullin) intrigues you, Paul, is—IMO—proof of *real* photo-*journalism*, IMO. ~ db.

I simply can't imagine a life like that. Your photo is very intriguing Daniel. Paul

The photo exhibition we see here—one of some two dozens at this year's "Visa pour l'image" festival—is a retrospective of the work of the admired British photojournalist and war-photographer Don McCullin. The picture you refer to, Paul, shows a *young* mother, victim of the famine during the Biafra war in Africa at the end of the Sixties. ~ db.

Now that lady is what I call "shriveled and dried up"! Paul
