Butt Ugly Boke

This is an example of what not to do when attempting to create smooth beautiful bokea.

Revised for Traveller, used the sponge tool to tone down the refractive red colors.

Canon EOS 50D
1/100s f/inf iso400 full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Actually, to be helpful, the upper center redish (?) bokeh circle needs to be Magic Brush Healed to silver. Thank you very much....Traveller

We have different standards...lol...I want it ready and able to hang in an Art Gallery, as this one is, you want it to be a Rembrandt-spirtually-transformative experience.

The former we sometimes obtain...the latter not so often...lol

Very Best Wishes, Traveller

I find the differences in people's perspective on things simply fascinating. When I look at this I think "ugh, that's awful" but you and Trav think its on the other end of the spectrum. Somewhere I might still have one like it but where I used the 50 1.8 rather than the 70-200 and a set extension tubes. Of course we all know that the nifty 50 produces a pentagram shape boke and the thought of it almost makes me want to hurl. I wonder if I stand alone there too. If I find it I may post one as a comparison. Paul

Ps: did I say IMO, it's one of the best in exhibition? Shu

Well, I would disagree, Dog! Interesting, maybe absolutely excellent because of its flaws, (as you see them...not me). Traveller
