The Background image is in fact from Mount Hollywood, (I was unaware there is such a named place), but this is where the Griffith Park Observatory is located, and where I also shot Foucault's Pendulum. The gauze covered women were doing performance art down on Sunset, representing the status of women, I suppose. For me, I combined the two images to represent, I think, the alienation, neighbor not knowing neighbor, the distance between people that maybe automatically arises in a place as vast as Los Angeles. I suppose. Bring to the image whatever you will or want...this is definitely ambiguous and allows for a vast degree of interpretation...Like Los Angeles itself. Best Wishes, Traveller

Have not been to LA ... difficult to understand the message ... can imagine many different interpretations. But the picture is good - really like it! K

Very interesting photo. Technically quite good; and the compositional elements meet the challenge. I'm still, however, thinking about the message you intend. I'm drawn most to the blindfolded face on the left, chin down, and eyes cast downward. Is LA that depressing? Jim

Say, this couple looks like the two people on TV the other night that robbed a Starbucks on Sunset Blvd, you better call the cops ad forward this to them. I've seen this night shot of LA countless times and always wondered where it is captured at. Hollywood Hills?? Paul

Thank you shu, but the real question is whether or not I captured & represented some essential truth regarding Los Angeles, or not, n'est-ce pas vrai? Everything else is just fluff and failure. Best Wishes, Traveller
