Sierra,
Thanks. I put a cropped version in pending for you.
The center is along the top 1/3 line.

K - thanks. I had also forgotten to sharpen this one more after it was converted. Try this.

Beautiful! A bit more sharp and that would be a real post-card shot!

The flower is really beautiful, IMO it would look better with a crop of just the flower itself, and I think it would still follow the RO3rds.

I like the depth of field in this. I guess it might have been nice to have the closest parts of the flower sharp as well, but that would have brought too much of the background into focus. Have you tried focus stacking Jim? It's pretty easy in Photoshop and provides precise control over what's sharp and what isn't. Doesn't work if the subject is blowing around in the wind though. Regards, Michael

Thanks Paul. Re DOF - I never really know how much is "good". For shots like these, I try to get the whole flower in focus, but leave the back material a little out of focus. It might be better to get everything in better focus with a large f stop, then selectively blur some areas. But that doesn't always look good to me.

Thumbs up big guy, I like it a lot. A little more DOF would have been nice but it never seems to work out way. Paul
