Carnival Ride

Puyallup, WA

Although the subject fills a high percentage of the frame,
its primary point of interest (two laughing girls) is
at the upper right crash point.

Thanks, Michael and Paul. It was a particularly lovely (if hot) day at the fair. I could not have asked for a bluer sky for a backdrop. This image won my camera club's annual award for photojournalism that year. The girls were strangers, and I have since regreted not waiting for the ride to be over, showing them the shot, and offering to send them a free copy.

Is this the family riding here? Paul

Agreed. My eye is drawn to the face of the closer of our two passengers. Shots like this are not easy to capture. Regards, Michael
