So I gotta cheat till I get a much, much longer lens.

I can only agree with the previous comments. I don't think we need another full frame shot of the moon. This is much more interesting. Regards, Michael

This is a wonderful concept "faute de mieux" to overcome your deplorable lack of a 1000000mm lens, Paul; and very well executed too. Artists, indeed, always grow when they long for better tools that do either not exist or cost too much... I like this entry which—sans "rule of thirds"—is still a *classical* composition with its strong diagonal line! — db.

But you do magnificently well with it alone..so don't be silly...sometime lesser equipment forces greater creativity as demonstrated on this very image.
