Yesterday I was at Wal-Mart shucking some corn on the cob to bring home for dinner. Ear # 1 had a quite large earworm in it. I should have tossed it in the trash but..... since it wasn't mine I put it back. And that's one of the reasons I shuck them at the store. Paul
Najinsky, the yellow white variety has been grown for a long time in the US. It once was called "salt & pepper" corn, but with lots of cross breeding, it is one of the hardier sweet corns and is the most popular, at least in the midwest.
This particular corn was raised in either Georgia or Florida. I won't see Minnesota grown corn until late July.
