Thanks, Najinsky. Now that you mention it, I see it too. I must've shot it on the wide end of the 17-55mm lens. I'll keep your suggestion in mind when I find the extra time for a re-edit.
I really like this. With the open door leading to the next room which while being similar is also clearly another space. It really conveys the feeling of being there. Very nicely done. A (very) slight nit-pick is I am seeing a little barrel distortion (I assume) primarily on the door frame. The frame is such a bold, er frame, it perhaps stands out more than usual and I think an excellent image would improve further if corrected. Regards, -Najinsky
Thanks for the comments :)
I considered a closer crop but felt it took away from the ambiance of the shot. I did darken the forefront of the shot for the painter to be the main focal point but at the same time wanted to keep the rest of the shot to tell the story. Looking at the pic, I think I cropped it a just a bit already. Not sure. I edited the pick more than few weeks ago.
Excellent....but have you tried a little tighter crop on the sides to take out the half-frames on each edge? Regardless, I love that you found this and photographed it so well. Traveller
well my "destination" was to be the painting to the left of the doorway -- but i have been "led" to the guy w the paintbrush! nice, interesting shot, shu
