Really nice job Mary Anne. Terrific detail in the water and the statuesque man gives the image scale and a nearly monumental impact. PS. My attempt was insufferably lame in comparison. -tv

I stared and stared at this the other night and come back to realize that I never even left a comment:( Excellent choice for b/w. Sept 18 - wasn't the water cold? This is very odd.... but a calming peaceful kind of odd due to the rippling effect.
Love the shadow.

Sharon, I was also startled to see this guy paddling along on the river standing on what appears to be a boogie board...and just a short distance above a dam. All I know is that he made it safely to shore.

The ripples do make wonderful patterns in this but I am so intrigued by this unique form of transportation that I hardly notice them. Did you ever figure out what the story was here? It is a lovely b&w! ~Sharon
