It is a good way to express those feelings and you do it so well! I am frequently moved by your images. ~Sharon

thank you all--yes, most all of my manipulated images these days relate to my feelings about old age. life takes on a whole different meaning w advancing years and expressing these feelings in one's photography can be both intense and rewarding. the basics such as love, fear, and the appreciation of nature may be revealed in one's images. it's a good way to express these things. shu

This is truly lovely, shu! The folds make me wonder what the story behind the image might be and I end up musing through an imaginary story line. Beautiful work! ~Sharon

Beautiful Shu, lovely texture and pastel colours.

My first impression suggests a cloning out of the line is needed BUT, taking into account your title and your intention, then the line should not be removed.

It is a trap easy to fall into I think?.... depending upon how one views an art work, 'technical correctness' (strict rule of thirds etc etc.) versus the artist's intention.

If you cloned out the line, the composition would be a photograph of a picture?... Perhaps the 'atmosphere' would have disappeared?

Sometimes a brief explanation (as you have provided) makes the observer view the work in a different paradigm.

So... having said that, your composition strongly supports your intention and the title is appropriate and I think it is beautiful.

It gives me the feeling like it was something special to grandma and she folded it up and put it in a book for safe keeping. I like sure your work Shu! Paul A.

P.S. I'm sure you already know it would be fairly easy to clone, blur and smudge that line out if it bothers you.

Shu, It really doesn't bother me at all. IMO kinda adds to the overall "feel" of the object.
