Water explosion

Here is a sneak preview of a water project I have been playing with recently. Don't have it quite perfected yet. Once I get all the little bugs worked out I'll shoot it for real. I decided to make it a GIF so it would show the action.

Well if the next one works out like my mind is thinking it will it will be even cooler. This is something that must be done outdoors because of the mess. Paul A.

Fun is right, I lined them up and shot them with a bb gun. I started the camera on burst just before I pulled the trigger so I'd capture the action. I first tried 4 of them with clear water which was interesting but still a little ho hum so I got the idea to add food coloring to the balloon before I water filled them. The exposure is the same with both shots but when the water explodes mid air it refracts the light differently and makes it look brighter. That is one of the bugs that needs working on. Paul A.
