Many thanks to all of you--Kelly, CamerShy and Techo--for your amiable remarks! Yes, the limited DOF was intended: the lady on the image's right hand side was supposed to be even more in focus than the other one (you seem, though, to see both equally sharp?), in order to appear as the main character. That's why this picture of mine came to my mind when I read Jano's phrase in the challenge's rules: "It can be a group of people but one person should stand out among the rest." This photograph seems to have complied with that at least halfway... ;-)) BTW, the lighting on their faces you mention, CamerShy, is--as practically all of my photography--natural *available light only*. -- db.
My fave of the three as well. I like how they're squeezed into the tight framing. The closer they are in the shot, they're probably real close in real life too.

Lovely black and white portrait. The shallow depth of field does seem to separate the man in back from the two women. I assume it was intentional. Nice lighting on all three faces. - CameraShy09
