yeh, this is dry, a hard subject unless you buy a skeleton and drag it out to the desert. ;0

This is a great capture. I'm thinking perhaps the forest in the background may even give thought to a forest fire from one little leaf? Great job. jano

Unusual and striking image with several layers of interpretation ... I like it

Thanks for the comments. I may try to reprocess this using normal and underexposed iterations of the raw file. Or I may just light another leaf on fire. I appreciate the feedback. - CameraShy09

Great, I like 'off the wall', well done.

Given the extreme contrast here, the current crop of sensors still cannot cope. I guess the only way to max' detail is to multiple expose and blend?

But, nice as is ~ Regards Bob

Talk about creativity....you've got ooodles. And an image with subtext and subtle unstated meanings....true or no...Nicely done.

You have already shot this as slowly as possible...so it would be hard to up the f stops...maybe a different lens? A different iso? I think the leaf is in fine focus, I'd suggest the flame be a little cleaner....requiring a faster shutter speed.

But you are the artist...the meaning is yours to shoot or not.

Best Wishes, Traveller (edit: I've looked at this again...the flame is fine. I apologize)

It's always a treat to see the ways in which people interpret the topic. Excellent idea and image. If I could nitpick slightly, I wonder if it would be possible to have the entire leaf sharply focussed. Regards, Michael
