Great 'place holder' Nico.... :-)

You are skilled at creative lighting, that of course is what photography is all about!

I am "slightly" bowled over over by the generous and gracious comments. It is definitely only a place-holder... until I can (hopefully) find a gap to shoot a classic African sunset.

Ingredients: dark room; white plastic globe, flash (with red gel) aimed at white globe so that the globe is lit brightly red; a shallow dish of water in front of the globe; finger with which to cause ripples in water; camera mounted on tripod very close to water's surface; repeat numerous times or until satisfied whichever comes first, usually numerous comes first.

I don't even think it counts as a sunset, to be honest ... to me it looks more like a red moon rising.

Regards Nico
