Thanks for the comment. I don't sharpen my images, generally, until I resize them in PS and then it's mostly gaussian blur. This particular image is an exception to that because I added USM to make it sparkle a bit more. I am also noticing that, on my monitor here at work which has much less resolution than the one at home, this picture looks a little more sharpened than what I like.
My other thought is that none of these three pictures were cropped at all so maybe what you're seeing has something to do with that since they were all taken with the full-frame camera? (that's just a guess, I don't have a great understanding of all the implications but maybe you do).
So - was your comment directed towards this image or all three? And what would look better to you?

This is my favourite of the three. Very glitzy indeed and brings back memories of times square/NY. How are you processing your challenge sized entries, it looks to me like the output sharpening has been left very high. Regards -Najinsky
