This is wonderfully shot. Really great job with the lighting here. Overall, I too prefer this shot over the other. But for the challenge, the other version has more of a blue color. On my screen this looks like a lite violet purple or medium purple.

I love low key shots and usually prefer darker backgrounds, but I like this treatment of your iris best. Nice job on the depth of field. The water droplets provide the same spark as catchlights do in someone's eyes. I'm glad they are part of the composition. - Happy holidays. CameraShy09
