8th: a fall from grace by Michael Puff

Creating this image has been in the back of my mind for quite some time and I've been slowly taking images for the composite. When the topic was announced I decided to go ahead and create it. While the image was produced today, it is in the exhibition gallery because some of the images used in the composite were taken outside the challenge period.

This image incorporates my earliest religious training along with my adult (non-religious) beliefs, in that I think a fall from grace (be it for any reason) must be a very lonely place.

*Very* well composed, Michael, and so 100% Puff! The rays are image wise definitely the crown of all those symbolic elements you've united to make this picture. -- db.

Most impressive!! Every little detail looks perfect. From the directional lighting on the man/angel to the angle of the wings. The wings btw is one of my favorite details here.

Magnificent, quite a masterpiece.

I like the rays, they are so well done.

Amazing work, Mr. Puff!! I, too, would like to see it enlarged so one may grasp the full significance of this piece. It would be easy to get lost in this image and this, in itself, intensifies the feeling of loneliness that one might experience. shu

Who Else? I asked myself upon seeing the thumbnail....rich in texture and thought...as to falling from Grace being lonely, who hasn't, and what isn't? Lovely image of course, and thought provoking...another thought I have is that I'd like to see it big....20 by thirty or so, in a gallery. Best Wishes, Traveller
