Thank you Penny and Nico. This was taken in a scrapyard of farm machinery in the State of Vermont. To me that meant many chances to find colorful abstracts, but amazingly, I found very few. You can't put too much chaos in an image and expect it to attract viewers unless the chaotic composition has great eye appeal. That's why for me, abstracts are the way to go.
I do appreciate your nice compliments guys and especially coming from two photographers I really admire. shu

shu, this is so amazing to me how some photographers (the really talented ones, in my opinion) can just simply "see" a picture where I definitely cannot! An old tractor in harsh direct light: I guarantee I would have walked past, quite confidently saying to myself: no photo opportunity here! And how wrong I would have been. Compliments.

Wonderful light and contrast - add that to the abstract design and color and what do you have? You guessed it.... a terrific photo!! I am wondering whether it might benefit from a slight burn job on the shadow but I'm not sure if a derelict tractor could tolerate such a thing.
