Volcan Pacaya

A two hour drive south of Antigua, plus a 2 hour hike up to the top. Well worth the difficult hike! More pics to follow...

Volcan Pacaya - we hiked right up to the top!		 Good fun, but in this photo with our friends Will & Arabella, we´re trying not to ingest the noxious gases the volcano spits out every few minutes. Smells like a horrible trip to the bathroom mixed with rotten eggs.

Pacaya was wild to climb; so much gas! I think the sulphur went to my head -->

Climbing this volcano over spring break was the greatest thing I have ever done! Not to mention the small eruption!
