Coromandel

Photos of our trip through the Coromandel region of NZ's North Island. Highlights were the stunning scenery and a visit to Barry Brickels Driving Creek Railway & Pottery (we were lucky to catch this eccentric man fully clothed since there was a film crew there for a documentary)the former pottery mentor of our friends Mac & Maureen who we visited in Kaitaia. He built the entire railway from scratch including the railcars, cutting the path through the forest and laying all the tracks. Quite a project and it took about 25 years to complete.
