One of three world-touring kayakers from Manchester, England. They had already done the Nile and the Zambezi rivers. Only two of them (Stephen and Thomas) made it to S.F., ... the third guy (Simon) had lost an eye due to a parasitic infection he picked-up on the Zambezi, and was returning to England. Scarey stuff. Still photos don't do these two justice. They were good.
