The lake district and William wordsworth

William Wordsworth, the internationally famous Lakeland poet was born and lived most of his life in the Lake District. From 1799-1808 he lived at Dove Cottage in the village of Grasmere, and from 1813 to his death in 1850 he made his home at Rydal Mount , overlooking the smallest lake in the National Park, Rydal Water.
