St John Timberhill

St John the Baptist on Timberhill is one of the smaller medieval churches in the city.
The present church was begun in 1420 and replaced a previous building from 1303.
St John's Timberhill is one of five churches in the city which were dedicated to St John the Baptist, the other four being St John's Roman Catholic Cathedral, St John Maddermarket, the old Roman Catholic Church in the centre of the city which is now the Maddermarket Theatre and St John the Baptist de Sepulchre, which is now a Russian Orthodox church.
