To me, albatrosses are among the most beautiful of all birds. Unfortunately, all 22 species are also among the most endangered. For a large part the cause of this is longline-fishing. No less than over 100.000 albatrosses drown each year on baited hooks set for tuna. As albatrosses have a very slow breeding-cycle, the killing of albatrosses on this horrifying scale will lead to the extinction of these magnificent birds, if nothing changes. Please consider to stop eating tuna or make sure your tuna is pole-caught!
