I fulfilled a long time dream and took a surfing lesson. The Goofy Foot Surf School in Lahaina got me set up, trained and out in the water to catch an actual wave. I know, the pictures make it look like I'm surfing microscopic waves but they felt huge. You get out there, lay on a board and then turn around to see what's coming at you and you'll change your tune! The board was roughly the size of an oil tanker, but it made it (somewhat) easy to get up and it carried almost to the beach. Future beach vacations will now have multiple surfing days built in.
