Shapes - Daddy Longlegs (female)

You might think that daddy longlegs are spiders, but they are actually crane flies.
The early crop of daddy longlegs begin to emerge around mid-August in the UK,
reaching their peak in September as the weather begins to cool.
This is when they seek refuge in the warmth of our homes.

Oh how cool and clever for shapes. My cats love to eat daddy longlegs. We call them potato chips - a snack for cats. LOL V

An excellent closeup of this crane fly, Chris. Have not seen many this year so far but have had plenty of large spiders indoors! V
