The steam yacht Gondola on Coniston Water. Originally launched in 1856 to carry passengers from the Furness Railway
and the Coniston Railway. In commercial service until 1936. Converted into a houseboat in 1946. By 1979, the yacht
was derelict, but was then restored to provide a passenger service, still powered by steam, and now operated by
the National Trust.
