Holy Trinity Church, Fleet

Fleet is unusual because it has two Anglican churches. In 1824, a huge storm almost completely destroyed the whole village of Fleet.
All that was left of the original parish church was the chancel. This is now known locally as ‘Little Church’, and is no longer used
as a place or worship. After the 1824 storm, a new parish church was built by the family of the then parish priest Reverend George Gould.
The new church, shown here, was built in the Regency Gothic revival style, and located in a sheltered spot away from the coast.
