Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, in the Place de la Victoire.
Built entirely from black lava stone during the 13th and 14th centuries.
The structure sustained severe damage during the French Revolution at the end of the 18th century,
and was substantially restored by Viollet-le-Duc and his pupil Anatole de Baudot in the 19th century.
