Puycelci – another of the Most Beautiful Villages of France! The name derives from the Celtic “Celto Dun”, meaning a wooden fortress built on a hill,
later transformed to “Podium Celsium” by the Romans. Beseiged several times during the 13th and 14th centuries, but never taken by force.
