Gate to the Cathedral – main entrance to the Cathedral grounds, built between 1504 and 1521, probably in honour of Prince Arthur,
Henry VIII’s elder brother who married Catherine of Aragon in 1501. He died the following year, aged 16, thus allowing Henry
to become king and marry Catherine himself in 1509.
