Gaillac, famous for its wine of the same name, first made over 2000 years ago by the Gauls who built a river port here
to export their wine into Gallia Narbonensis.
On the left is the Abbey Saint-Michael, dating from the 10th century, and substantially enhanced in the 13th and 16th centuries,
and renovated at the end of the 20th century.
