Neptune's Staircase

Neptune’s Staircase at Banavie – a staircase lock comprising 8 locks on the Caledonian Canal, built between 1803 and 1822 by Thomas Telford.
Originally hand-powered but now hydraulically operated, it is the longest staircase lock in Britain.
