Fischmarktbrunnen – one of Basel’s great fountains, built towards the end of the 14th century, considered at the time to be the most beautiful fountain in Northern Europe.
It is dodecagonal, with a Gothic centrepiece; what you see today is now a replica (and not working when we were there!).
