Mull of Kintyre. In the distance can be seen the north coast of Ireland, which is just 13 miles from this point.
The Mull of Kintyre is the southwestern most tip of the Kintyre Peninsula. The area has been immortalised in
popular culture by the 1977 hit song by one of Kintyre's residents and his band at the time, Paul McCartney and Wings.

We drove (very slowly) up a long and precipitous single-track road in dense fog/cloud to get to the end (there was no-where
to turn the car around until we got to the end!), to the Mull of Kintyre, when suddenly the cloud/fog lifted to reveal this vista.
