Limassol Castle. Built originally in the 12th century by the Lusignan princes on Byzantine foundations.
It was destroyed in the 1560s by the Venetians, then rebuilt by the Ottomans in 1590. The underground prisons remained in use until 1950.
According to tradition, this is where Richard the Lionheart married Berengaria of Navarre and crowned her Queen of England in 1191.
