WW1 Trenches

Sanctuary Wood Museum.
In the 1980s, some ground collapsed to reveal previously undiscovered sections of trenches and tunnels built by British Army engineers.
Recently, the trenches have been renovated in places using corrugated iron to hold up the trench sides. There has been much debate on
whether these trench remains are original, and also on the need to find ways to preserve endangered WW1 battlefield remains.
