St. Nicholas Church, one of the oldest and most prominent landmarks in Ghent. Begun in the 13th century, it was popular
with the guilds, who added their own chapels to the sides of the church in the 14th and 15th centuries. Behind the church
is the Belfry, and beyond that is St. Bavo’s Cathedral.
