The region around Hangzhou is famous for green tea, made from the smallest leaves of Camellia
sinensis that have undergone minimal oxidation during processing. The leaves are still dried
by hand, as shown here. Our visit to the tea plantation near Hangzhou included tastings of
different qualities of green tea, some of which were very expensive and highly prized.
Can’t say I was impressed, though, as I’m not a tea drinker!
