This is where the Abbey in Abingdon used to be sited. Founded in about 675 AD, the Abbey was
destroyed when Henry VIII dissolved the monasteries in 1538. Nothing now remains of the abbey
church, though some of the monastic buildings have survived, and some images of these will be
posted in the future.
