This is the first time that I have had time to post in the last three days. Today is Mary's birthday and I had to work 12 hours on a work train unloading rock to build back the road bed. I will made it up to you Mary and I'm sorry about not being there all day with you. Tuesday and Wednesday were spent getting what we could out of the house and moving it into a PODE. Everything that could be saved is now in a 12 X 16 container. I will post a photo of that later. We hope to get a FEMA trailer that will be on the UNO east campus so that we both can be close to work and not so much time on the road. My sister and brother-in-law are the greatest for giving us a place to stay, I love them both very dearly. Harold has been a wonderful help in all of this and without him, I don't know where we would be in all of this, THANKS HAROLD.
Back to the photo for today, this is a sunset over the marsh in eastern New Orleans right before we started back to be picked up and taken to Gentilly yard also known as FORT GENTILLY by the railroad workers. We spent the day unloading rock between Michoud and the Chef pass. Just to see what Katrina did to the marsh is awesome in itself.
